And now it's time for

The Crazy Chef!!

Fun Things to COOK!

After getting some Portobello mushrooms and finding out that the way you cook them is similar to how you would cook a steak, I thought "why not regular mushrooms?" Why not indeed- so here are two variations on Montreal Steak Mushroom Madness
#1-- you will need- a buncha mushrooms, some olive oil, and McCormack's Montreal Steak Seasoning.
First-- put about 4 tablespoons of olive oil in the pan. Turn on medium heat, and add the seasoning (a few good shakes, I mean real good, don't be a sissy). Now slice your mushrooms and toss 'em in, adding more seasoning to your taste. Cook til done. You will be able to tell I swear, it's about a few minutes. You can tell by the smell and your mouth watering.
#2 --the variation is to cook spinach with it. When the mushrooms are just about done, throw in some spinach. Add a bit more olive oil (carefully, so you don't set yourself on fire). Keep in mind that the spinach will shrink as ya cook it, so add about twice as much as you would think you need. Voila! You are strong to the finich cuz you ates your Spinach. Stops it, Olives!

Chicken in a Window (otherwise known as Breakfast at Tiffany's, cuz my old friend and former roomate always made it. Also apparently called egg in the hole by some. If you know it, skip this section.)
You will need- your favorite loaf of bread (suggestion- Wheat!), some butter, and egg, and your favorite type of cheese (suggestion- PEPPER JACK!)
Melt some butter in a pan. Make a whole in the center of a slice of bread (using a small glass or cookie cutter or just cut out a lil square with a knife.) Throw it in the pan, and crack an egg above it so that it lands in the hole (you can stir the egg and yolk together so it will come out scrambled, if you prefer). Cook til it is done one one side, then flip it over and add a slice of cheese. Cook til the cheese melts. Yum Yum YUM. Don't forget some home fries go good on the side, use red potatoes and slice real thin, or else microwave a bit first. Add pepper and garlic and spices you like.

Good things to put on steak or hamburger patties are: Worcester Sauce, and Spice Islands Calcutta Heat seasoning. Probably that is sacreligious (because of sacred cows and all). But it is might fine tasting.

Chicken is good when overcooked with a little bit of garlic.

Something yummy to get at the grocery store and cook is: Zatarains Dirty Rice. Substititute scrambled eggs for ground beef if you don't like meat. Also check out Tasty Bite Indian food. It is in some high tech pouch and you don't have to refrigerate. It is pretty badass for a prepackaged food item.

My favorite way to make spaghetti--- you will need penne pasta (any brand), Five Brothers Spicy Red Bell pepper sauce (add curry powder or Calcutta heat for extra spice), shredded romano cheese and feta cheese (I forget the brand, but i prefer the one that is cubed, in olive oil with peppercorns). Prepare the pasta according to the directions on the package. Heat the sauce in a small saucepan and add the extra seasoning if so desired. When the pasta is done, toss it with the sauce. Lotsa people put it on the side, but screw that. Toss it together in a big bowl with the shredded romano cheese. Then, once it is on you plate add a few of the feta cubes. Zap it in the microwave for a sec so the feta is on the verge of melting. That is it. Molto benne, however you spell it.

HOW ABOUT A DESSERT?

Well, this one is an oldie but goodie. Invented in 4th or 5th grade by my friend Alison and I, and it used to incorporate Nestle Semi Sweet Morsels-- but that is a bit much at this period in history... soooo..
You will need: Jello instant pudding mix, Cool Whip (or real whipped cream that u make yourself- but Cool Whip is more disgusting and therefore more fun and yummy), whole milk and mini marshmallows. Mix the pudding mix (the powder) with the whipped cream. There is too much powder, eh? Well that is where the milk comes in! Add milk a bit at a time while stirring so you have a mousse-ish consistency. Now stir in mini marshmallows and pop that bad boy in the fridge for a good hour so it all becomes as one. HEAVENLY!
