Elvis traded places with an Elvis impersonator, because he was tired of fame. So it was the impersonator who died, and Elvis ended up in a rest home in Texas. Or so goes the plot of Bubba Ho-tep...and there is even more strangeness than that. A black JFK and a soul-sucking mummy. I dug that movie. Very funny.

I actually have been sticking to my exercise program which is rare for me.The best thing on that excercise dvd is you can select to have the music on it turned off, and then you can still hear what the lady is saying. Which is great cuz then I can listen to whatever gets me off my butt, so far Leatherface and the Buzzcocks have worked the best.

I am not in the mood to clean my apartment and that was what I swore to do this weekend, I am a giant slacker. Oh well

Ugh I am still so undecided on what to do about Kris and it is making me sick to my stomach. His brother thinks I should giev him an ultimatum, but dear God the man's mother just died... that is a little hardcore. Then again, I stop and think... I am thirty... I am investing all this energy into a relationship that is a dead end relationship unless there is a major change. I am really done with driking all the time too, it sucks. But anyways, I am really stressed. And it is making me take every petty stupid little thing that happens at my job too seriously and I am really fed-up with it. Especially with my passive-agressive boss. And I have been goofing around on the computer for 2 hours trying to avoid receving phone calls. Oh, what fun!

I can't decide if I need a good laugh or a good cry. I might go with the cry and watch Terms of Endearment.

You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it- Brian Wilson (I guess)

Finally went to see Life of Brian in the theater. Best comedy ever, I think. Took my mother, and wasn't sure if she would get offended or anything. But she cracked up. She totally liked it. You can never tell with Ma. There was a preview for a documentary about Metallica and she said that she would like to see that. It goes to show you never can tell- Chuck Berry

After a four day weekend I hate to have to go back to work tomorrow. But at least we have a new operations manager and hopefully she works towards eliminating all the bullshit. Still and always I wish I had a different job in a different field. But once again, like Brian Wilson said...

Poor Kris, his mom died on Saturday. He is taking it hard, I think. I still will not see him until July 1st. He is going to stay put until then. I wish there was something I can do, but from my experience I would say there is nothing much anybody can do when something like that happens, except for listening.

I actually ordered something off of an infomercial yesterday. It is a workout DVD. Slim in 6 weeks they say. Of course it takes 2-3 weeks to deliver so it may be Slim in 9 weeks, all told. ;)

here is a picture of dear sweet Sphinxy.. by the way

So my birthday went well... and even though I have crossed the threshold of yet another decade I don't feel that much wiser. I wonder when I will stop doing stupid shit. And start using real words and being clear instead of using the shortcut of curse words.

For my birthday I got charm bracelet charms, dresses, shoes, OZ season 3 and a digital camera. The camera is brilliant because it takes moving pictures too... and I can edit it on my computer... and hopefully I will regain some of my passion for that- the passion that was stomped out of me by that asshole used-car dealership commercial making Trekkie jerk I used to work for. Bitter...who, me?

We relived the 70's and froze our asses off seeing STYX at the Concord Pavilion. Damn was it cold, and my sister in her hooded sweatshirt and her husbands parka looked just like the lil brother in A Christmas Story, when he gets all bundled up to the point where he can't even move his arms heheh. There was an audience member, a guy in a powder blue zoot suit with a pin-up girl tie, and my nephew and I thought that guy rocked like no one else. I also love the kiddie rockers... I even saw a 8 or 9 year old gal in a motorcycle jacket with KISS airbrushed on the back!..STYX was good tooo...the keyboard guy did this ragtime bit that was incredible. I like STYX. I love almost everybody... I swear at home I bounce back and forth from like punk to 40's and 50's to old country to disco...completely schizo musical taste.

Kris is away, to see his mom. I will not be joining him until July. I miss that fella. Last week we went to see the Distillers. Nice that he was willing to go with me because that is not his usual style of music. I mean he doesn't listen to punk ever unless I make him, heheh.

He is going to miss my birthday... but that is okay cuz his mom needs him.

I don't know what it is but I can only write in the simplest sentences and yet I am rambling and have no point. I used to like writing and now it feels like a chore....well I have to try to get back into it.

For Mother's day my mom asked for food for her pets, and for us kids (well we are not actually kids, but you know you know) to come over and assist her with her yardwork. As I said before, Johnny. Then she got worried that we were at risk of being bitten by a rattlesnake, because twice she found rattlesnakes in her backyard. One even bit the poor dog, Buster. He recovered. Now she says we can go ahead and do it. Oh boy oh boy. Personally I'm more worried about ticks. Because that's just gross!
